A bass that drastically lowers in pitch and automation, i used it to emphasis a "slow time" kind of effect in my current game project.

Rich early-morning flip across the a. M. Radio dial.

Poorly tuned am station with several signals battling to come through at the 1600 khz setting.

Dead air on an a. M. Radio station while lightning in the area "tickles" the frequency to create static peaks. Perhaps similar to the sounds of a radiation or metal detector.

A guitar through defective self-modulating delay. The time potentiometer went "bad" after years of hard twisting and abuse, and now it warbles and pitch-shifts on it's own. It's very temperamental, though. The pedal is a johnson "ead-2 analog echo delay". May be useful for an outro or something! let me know if you use it, i'd love to hear the results!.

I made this sound with my microkorg, making lfo1 and lfo2 hella fast, and made them modulate the pitch and amplitude, respectively, at full strength. The values for the frequencies i don't know, but it is fun to dive in to a synth and try to replicate the sounds that you're hearing.

Slither of an old song i wrote, intended to loop. I'm playing a full bodied larrivee acoustic and slowed my voice down a little bit. Recorded on a $5 microphone, as always. "we've held tears and i've felt loveless. . ".

Triangle wave form from the noise reap bermuda oscillator. During the recording i'm turning the "self mod" knob cw and back.

Noises that i made with a synth. They pretty dry sounding didn't add much to them just basic eq with a low cut and sometimes different shapes to shape them a bit. Thats it just some "raw noises".

Simple 4 quadrant multiplier done with a lm13700 and some components.

Sample was created by looping a "heavy metal" drum pattern with fills from a yamaha pss-480 keyboard. The drums were processed through various pedals and then looped on a boss dd-20 going into a boss me-30 multi-effect.

A more intense flip across the am radio dial in the united states, this time at night.

I'm getting to know a comparator. Why haven't i used it before?extremely electronic. Yes!the comparator i'm using is bastl instruments tromsø. With the comparator i'm making the bass tone that vary in length. What! are you not amused and impressed??? in this patchi'm sending the comparator a saw-wave.

X and y comes from the nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo (regular version). X is the high sinus c, left channel. Y is the low triangle c, right channel. X and y goes to comparator resulting in a note when crossing the threshold. At the same time x and y goes to cv in on jupiter storm generating two glissando paths. The two used osc's on jupiter storm are tuned to the same pitch.

Testing/documenting my bartonmusicalcircuits (bmc21) full wave dual rectifier. "this is an all analog synthesizer module used to alter the timbre and create new harmonic content. " using the fact that it's a dual. 2 sinus waves through both of the rectifiers, through a filter and a little spring reverb.

This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Recorded direct to sound card.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. Radio frequency interference at the 1200 khz mark of the a. M. Band, caused by varying proximity to a laptop computer. Very active and obnoxious high-pitched static and squeals.
